Trapped

I walked for a thousand miles,
trapped in the despair of misery.
I was ravaged by hunger,
my throat, burning with thirst.

In search of freedom I dared everything.
Even though my life has to be risked.
I soar in the scorching desert,
just to look for that piece of paradise.

The night,
so cold and bitter.
The afternoon,
blistering with the heat of the sun.

I wonder when this pain will end.
I wonder where is my paradise.
I wonder if I have made the right choice,
haven't I?

I am trapped and I am lost,
in this bitter life of mine.
Not knowing where to go,
not knowing what to do.

If I would ever see a shooting star,
I would always wish for my freedom.
I will keep on waiting for the moment,
for that bright star to fall in the eastern sky

The question is,
will it fall?

If I were the world

If I were the wind
I would not fly in the sky
But soar freely up high
with a rush of freedom within

If I were the sky
I would stand proudly above the soil
With a vision, so bold and daring
Like great leader of the people

If I were the sun
I would shine brightly every day
Painting the sky with different colors
Allowing life, to thrive on this earth of ours

If I were the moon
I would always shower my light
To people in the lonely night
Giving them warmth, peace and tranquility

If I were the ocean
I would gush bravely
To places we have never seen
Filled with surprises, and mysteries

If I were the world
I would make this planet a better place
Where everyone lives happily
What a wonderful paradise, can it be?
